Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Mega Shooter 11 from InfinitePlay, an indie game on the Xbox Live Arcade for the Xbox 360. Mega Shooter 11 is a very challenging game. It’s a side scrolling space shooter in the vein of the arcade, 8 bit and 16 bit classics, both in terms of graphics style and, of course, difficulty. Mega Shooter 11 is not easy, even when you play it on easy. It takes place in a year with as many letters as numbers, and you get to choose which mission you want to play at the start. You control a ship from left to right through four different auto scrolling worlds. The game offers four levels with stereotypically retro themes, and when you’re designing a game to be as retro as possible, embracing those level themes really helps. This video review features video gameplay footage of Mega Shooter 11 for the Xbox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek.
