When Ranchview High School Powerlifter Jhorden Tennyson first joined the powerlifting team, she did not know if she was going to stay. Having never lifted weights before, Jhorden was very sore after her first couple of workouts. Through the help of a friend, she was able to stick it out and qualify for the Texas State Finals.

She praises Coach Whitaker, Ranchview Head Powerlifting Coach, for helping her grow as a lifter. Though his support Jhorden was able to achieve success.
